Scottish mobile and wireless companies will welcome the reduced charges as they will mean a more competitive market for mobile advertising. Companies in all business sectors will be able to take advantage of cheaper phone rates.
The Internal Market Committee in the European Parliament voted this week to cut roaming charges by as much as 70%. A final decision will be taken by EU heads of government.
